This story has been floating around the net for a couple of months now. DJ ‘supergran’ Ruth Flowers rocking a parisian night club at the age of 69. We’re still not too sure how true this story is but if it is, then fair play to the old girl.

Considering most O.A.P.s are collecting their pensions and watching Coronation Street, Ruth is working the club scene banging out the electro beats. God bless you love!

I guess this shows where there is a will, there is a way and that anyone of any age, if they are determined enough, can get out there and start a dj career!

Ableton – Free Bridge Demos

As you’re probably aware Ableton and Serato got in bed last year and came up with the Bridge.

Personally I think the more collaborations between the main hardware/software providers can only be a good thing as the more alternatives on the market, will ultimately appeal to a wider range of people and therefore get more people involved in the whole digital movement.

Ableton and Serato will be  demoing The Bridge in the UK at the end of November and early December.  As advertised on the Ableton website, these free demos will offer an introduction to Ableton Live and Serato Scratch Live, as well as an in-depth look at The Bridge.
